Yesterday, 06/06/09 and it was around 1100 hrs. I was sitting so bored not knowing what to do, and then started roaming around the house for no reason and it was when I thought about driving. The whether outside was cool, and would rain any minute. I went to my garage and saw the Hummer shining all black with silver coating on the grills. I always wanted to take for an outdoor spin but I never tried it.
I felt today was the day. Checked for any flaws in the whole machine, the fuel was full, all driving conditions good and ready to go. It was then I found that I had trouble with the front left wheel, but it was soon rectified. Now comes the most important part, I started the ignition and it roared like the lion and went on a smaller ride.
Now it was time to take it outside and so I did a vertical fall over the steps and now I was on the open air. I was enjoying the smooth ride in the chill weather, but it did not last long. The dog started chasing my Hummer, I drove faster for some distance then I thought “What the hell!!!”, and did a 180 degree turn and the dog freaked away.
We were standing facing each other, the Hummer was roaring and the dog grudged. But I never gave up the determination, with a little back wheel burnout I moved forward towards the dog, now the dog’s freaking out. A dog’s no match for the Hummer, I kept advancing and now the dog started running for its life and ran up the stairs to save itself.
I sat behind the wheel like a king riding fast as I could but then I was too fast so it dragged me out of the road to the sands, but it’s a Hummer, I can drive anywhere I want and how ever I want. I got over hyped and did various stunts, but that happiness did not last long, when attempting another 180, I lost balance and hit against the wall and lost my left indicator.
I felt so bad and learnt a lesson,” Speed thrills but kills” and I made up my mind to drive carefully. I started raining and it was time to get back into the garage. With a very mixed emotion I went to have my lunch. And this is not just the end, the Hummer story will continue!!!
Note: The hummer is just a 1:10 Radio Control Vehicle ;)
