The new Job

About 18 years of studies, and now it's a temporary stop for it!!!

I've joined a market research solutions provider company, as usual the usual aspect of training came up. Four days of orientation programme kinda burnt my back sitting inside a so called fully air conditioned room. Just 50 people were accomodated inside a room which could hold only 25 people, literally we were sitting on eachothers lap.

The job profile consisted of stuffs like searching info on the net and updating it on the net, and i thought this job could be done by any tom dick and harry. But later i realised that approximately 100 people were recruited from a group of 1000 candidates, and this kinda made me feel a bit happy that i made it from such a big group. Even my friend said "even we would have been placed in a very good company if we'd studied in a highly reputed college, we are not much less than any other guys".

Everything was going on fine and i liked the working environment, which for me is something very important. All the googling and updating it to excel sheets seemed so easy while talking, but the first assignment made me hate internet and computer, which people used to say are my wives. The guy sitting next to me started talking to the monitor, the one sitting at the back of me started fighting with the one sitting next to him. Some even went to the extent of thinking "why the hell did we take computers in graduation?".

But everything vanished the next day when we have become a lot more familiar with googling, everyone worked with a smile on the face saying "I'm using a shortcut i found yesterday while searching!". I'm enjoying the work right now, i'm finding ways on how to google and what not to do in it. I see individuals working together as a team. I see higher officials and all the people socialising with ease. As my co worker says this is another twist in life. And it goes on.........
